New label, September tour dates!

I am still recharging from a great tour to MPLS and back. Thanks to friends old and new who made it such a blast! The Summer may be drawing to a close, but things are just heating up around here. I am thrilled to announce I have signed with Diversion Records, a great label based in Chicago! We will be announcing some new music very soon, so stay tuned!

I also have some great tour dates coming up next month:

We will be adding more shows in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on this space. We’ll see ya out there!

Tour wrap-up, Today In Nashville pt. 2!

I just touched down from an awesome time on the road with my band, the Hillside Airmen. It takes a lot of people to make a tour successful, so without further ado:

Thanks to 1919, Gypsy Sally’s, The Sevareid House, Slim’s Downtown, WDVX Blue Plate Special, ACME Radio, The Local, and the crew at WSMV Ch. 4 for having us! Thanks to Arty Hill, Tom Mackell, The Matchsellers and Kiely Connell for sharing the stage with us. It was great hanging with all of you! Special thanks to Feed The Scene, Meg Hargreaves, Janet Lewis, Val Levine & Paul Gilmore for the generous hospitality. It means a lot to a travelling band! Last but not least, thanks to Mick Hargreaves, Alex Sarkis and Buddy Woodward for bringing these tunes I made up to life, and everyone who came out and enjoyed the music!

ICYMI, here’s our second performance on Today in Nashville as well as our interview/performance on ACME Radio’s Vinyl Lunch:

‘Alive in Patchogue’ Released Today!

One year ago to the day, ‘Foothill Freeway’ was released. A lot has changed since then. To celebrate, ‘Alive in Patchogue’ is now available as a name-your-price download via Bandcamp! It is also streaming over at No Depression. This show was a ton of fun, I hope you enjoy these recordings! Thanks to the musicians, audience and the PTPA staff for making this release possible.

“Pete Mancini’s first solo outing, Foothill Freeway, rightly garnered praise from the likes of NPR. The album is a contemplative piece, but Mancini shines live. Whether he’s fronting his own band or playing bass with New York blues-rockers Leland Sundries, it’s clear that Mancini is here to serve the music — not the other way around. His lyrics are powerful stories about life on the margins and his soft touch gives the songs an an important sense of humanity.”
– Rachel Cholst (Adobe and Teardrops, No Depression)

Updated tour schedule!

I have some new tour dates to announce! Check it:

I am also excited to announce that I’ll be playing this years Great South Bay Music Festival alongside acts like Dickey Betts, Hot Tuna and Little Feat! We will be playing the Bandshell stage on Sunday, July 15th. Tickets available at the GSBMF website!

The full tour schedule is available for viewing on the ‘tour’ tab above. How convenient!

‘Foothill Freeway’ named Indie Album of the Year!

I just got back from a great NE tour with Nick Loss-Eaton (Leland Sundries) on lead guitar. We hit Portland ME, Providence RI, Somerville MA, Rosendale NY and NYC for John Platt’s On Your Radar. We even drove through a snowstorm to record a live interview/session at Radio Woodstock 100.1 WDST, which you can check out here. The venues and crowds were truly awesome on this run. We got to hang with some old friends and made a bunch of new ones. We’ll be back soon!

Upon arriving home, I opened my email inbox to some amazing news: ‘Foothill Freeway’ was named Indie Album of the Year by The Daily Vault! Thanks to Jason Warburg for the review and including us on this awesome year-end list. There are no more shows scheduled for 2017, but 2018 is already filling up and there are some big announcements coming your way soon.

Happy Holidays folks! See ya in the new year.
